Our path to the semi-finals was challenging. We started strong with a thrilling victory against White Crane Black, edging them out with a tight 8:7 scoreline. The adrenaline from that win was palpable, setting a positive tone for the team.

However, not every game went our way. Our second match saw us face Amanara, where we experienced a tough loss with a score of 4:8. It was a humbling moment, reminding us of the fierce competition in this tournament. Despite the setback, our team’s spirit remained strong. We knew that every journey has its challenges, and we were ready to face them head-on.

The turning point came with our match against Emlor Black. This was perhaps the most nerve-racking game of the tournament for us. Every minute on the field was intense, with both teams showcasing their best play. It was an exhilarating contest that kept everyone on the edge of their seats. In the end, our persistence paid off, and we secured a dramatic 8:7 win, earning us a well-deserved spot in the semi-finals.

Friday, June 3rd, was the day of the semi-finals, and it was a day we had all been eagerly anticipating. Our team went into the match with high spirits and a fighting attitude. We gave it our all on the field, displaying skillful play and unwavering determination. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to overcome Emlor (7:10), who managed to secure their place in the finals. The loss was bittersweet, but it was made more bearable knowing that we lost to the eventual champions of the tournament.

Congratulations to the Emlor family on their well-deserved victory. It was an honor to compete against such a formidable team.

We hold our heads high, proud of our performance and the journey we undertook together. Our run in the Duke of Sutherland Cup may have ended in the semi-finals, but the experience, memories, and camaraderie we’ve built will stay with us.
